In the first part of the 20th century, in Canada forced the dry law and it is not surprising that the underground streets became an attractive place for gangsters and illegal sellers of alcoholic beverages. Within several years, the underground city has turned into a small Las Vegas. Locals came here for buying alcoholic drinks, playing in gambling games and adoring with the lawlessness atmosphere. Rumors say that Al Capone took part in an administration of the lawlessness activity in this underground town.
Today tourists can walk along the saved tunnels and see some unique artefacts. For example, you can see huge wooden pipes that were used for alcohol storage. Even more, sit at the table where hundred years ago were sitting people and playing gambling games. The underground city Moose Jaw has one mysterious legend. There is some evidence that it was built by Chinese illegal migrants. Moving to Canada, they have run against the bad blood of locals and that’s why they have to cover under the ground. Today tourists can choose between two interesting excursion tours. During the walk they will know a lot of stories about the lawlessness underground.
