Modern inhabitants of Canada are the descendants of European and Asian emigrants, among whom are representatives of rare indigenous North American peoples. Indians today make up only 2% of the total population of the country. The development of Canada began in the 16th century, when the first settlement of French colonists appeared on the territory of modern Quebec. Later, the influence of France was replaced by the domination of the British Empire, which is why the country has two full-fledged official languages - French and English. French Canadians live mainly in the province of Quebec while the English-speaking population occupies the rest of the territory. Historically, they have developed complex relationships.

Locals are very peaceful; they always try to avoid open conflicts, even their independence was obtained during peaceful, albeit lengthy, negotiations with the British Empire. Representatives of dozens of different nationalities are friendly in the country.
