This is a centuries-old city with rich history. The main difference of Puerto de la Cruz from the neighboring resorts is in the fact it was not intentionally created for tourists. Playa Jardin Beach is one of the main attractions of the resort. The sand here is black because of its volcanic origin. San Felipe Castle is one of the oldest architectural places of interest of the city. Miranda House is, probably, the most famous modern institution. The most popular gift shop of the city is opened in it. However, all art lovers should visit Abaco House, which stores a collection of Museum of Architecture.
