You can see a collection of ancient frescoes in the cathedral. These frescoes were donated to the monastery in the beginning of the 17th century.

The beautiful Parliament building built in 1840 is located here, as well as beautiful statues and fountains. While walking through the area, you can reach the picturesque Vasilissis Sofias Street, which is home to numerous museums - Museum of Ancient Art of Greek, Byzantine Museum, Museum of Cycladic and Benaki Museum.
