The industry actively uses solar panels and wind turbines, many of which have become real landmarks that attract curious tourists. The locals are very hospitable. They smile a lot and this fact can even surprise some travelers. Locals are always willing to help and do not mind to talk with guests on such subjects as cooking, sports or politics.
Each fall the city attracts thousands of fans of beer. Oktoberfest is a special holiday in Munich, which is celebrated with a special scale. Colorful tents are installed on the city’s streets. The tents more look like medieval fortresses, in which beer lovers eat and have rest. The streets of Munich are simply soaked in aromas of roasted hot dogs and homemade sausages, and interesting performances and competitions last here until late at night. In 2010 one of the brightest national holidays celebrated its 200th anniversary. Oktoberfest was visited by more than five million tourists.
