The last day of carnival always coincided with the last Tuesday of February. The locals call this day Mardi Gras, which is literally translated as "Fat Tuesday". The most colorful festivals and tasting festive dishes take place exactly on this day. Many know this holiday by another name - "Pancake Day". Liquid streamers remain one of the main attributes of the carnival. The colorful cans with streamers are sold completely everywhere.
