The city is rather convenient to be explored by car as the main roads may be traffic jammed only in the rush hours. All major streets of the city are equipped with large parking lots. These are paid ones. Each parking lot is equipped with a special machine for service payment.
The historical center of the city is banned for any type of transport that is why this part of the city can be explored only on foot. A tour though the historic heart of the destination will not be excessively tiresome as all the spots of tourist interest are located in close vicinity to each other.
All large shopping centers, restaurants and filling stations accept international credit cards. The optimum currency exchange rate is offered in local banks which work six days a week except Sunday. Private currency exchange offices work seven days a week however these centers charge high fees for currency exchange transactions.
Buses and electric trains are cruising between Odense and Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and other neighboring cities every day. Tourists who will not be enough local landmarks and sights for exploration and will lack tourist impressions should visit other large cities as the trip to the nearest large destinations will take just up to three hours.
