Walking tour through the city is a most common way to go sightseeing as the central streets of Mendoza are closed for any transport. The favorite spot of recreation among city residents and guests is still the General San Martin Park as it features the largest and the most beautiful parkland in the city. The area of the park hosts a small zoological garden and sports stadium which often holds engaging events. The park features all the facilities for recreation. In the noon one may hide from the heat under the rich greenery of the trees and set a picnic or take one of the arbors scattered all over the park. The youngest visitors will eagerly occupy one of the engaging playing grounds.
The same engaging adventure is a mountain climbing expedition to the top of the Cerro de la Gloria mountain which opens a marvelous breath taking panoramic view of the city. The top of the mountain is equipped with several observation platforms. Many tourists visit the spot during morning hours to fully embrace the majesty of a dawn.

Travelers are recommended to visit one of the local wineries as each of them regularly holds excursions. The most visited winery is considered to be Familia Zuccardi located in a half an hour trip from the city center. Its visitors are offered an exciting tour telling about the technology of wine production and then the winery visitors proceed to the tasting room to try some wine and buy some memorable gifts and souvenirs.
