More than that, this city can boast of lots of picturesque places of interest and historical monuments. The most famous of them are the National Park, the Liberty Bell and of course the Independence Hall. The last one became the place, where in 1776 they signed the Declaration of Independence. Another interesting place is the Constitution Centre, devoted to the Constitution of the United States.
Philadelphia also gave birth to Benjamin Franklin. I suppose there is no need to explain his role in the history of the country. So I'll just say that besides all that he did, he founded there the first university and library.
Philadelphia attracts thousands of tourists not only by fascinating landscapes and historic sights – it is a well-known cultural centre. Its visitors Philadelphia can offer lots of attractive museums, a splendid orchestra and many other things. One of the most magnificent places for art performing is the Kimmel Centre.
