Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts has revealed its plans concerning the launch of a new hotel in China. This will be a Changsha accommodation of a deluxe level.
Changsha is a city of a growing importance. It is the capital of Hunan Province and an important transportation hub in south-central China. Swissôtel hotel in Changsha will be a part of a large mixed use complex. Besides the hotel the complex will include an office tower of Grade A. The complex is to start operating in 2014. The hotel will have a wonderful location in the Yuelu District of the city. The distance from the hotel to the international airport is approximately 30km, and the distance from the centre of the city is 15km. The Yuelu District is known for its beautiful environment and has become a popular cultural spot.
Swissôtel Changsha will have 400 guestrooms and suites. The minimum size of a guestroom will be 40 sq. m. The hotel will be also equipped with a large meeting and banqueting space of 2000 sq. m, five restaurants and bars, various recreational facilities, and even a signature Purovel Spa.
As the importance of Changsha is growing, it’s easy to predict more famous hoteliers to come to the city. The city is often called “the entertainment capital of China”. Swissôtel already manages several five-star hotels in China, and has ambitious plans of expanding its network. In order to open this hotel the Swiss hotelier started the collaboration with Enough Group, a private enterprise specializing in real estate and renewable energy.
