Four Seasons has just started its food service that is now faster and more of a fast-food style. At the moment this service is available in 86 hotels around the world. While the majority of hotels promise to deliver your order within 15 minutes, some hotels have extra 5 minutes because of distances between a hotel and its kitchen.
The approach to timing is really serious in Four Seasons, but guests are not guaranteed to get their meals for free if it doesn’t arrive in time. The hotelier’s spokesman says there is no universal obligation for all accommodations. Each hotel decides how to treat clients who have got their meals late.
The menus are different in all hotels. While some accommodations offer full menu, others allow fast delivery of a la carte options only. Many meals are offered in special packaging that makes it suitable for taking, for example, to an airport. Guests can make orders from their iPads.
Even though this service is described as “fast-food like”, it is not a typical fast-food and fresh ingredients are used for cooking. For example, Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North offers sliced chorizo with Arizona wine, cheese, tequila-lime chicken wrap, iced tea with chocolate cookies, etc. Four Season hotel in Hampshire (UK) serves nachos with Winchester cheese, tomato soup with garlic bread or chive crème fraiche. Finally, Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong offers baguette with tomatoes, Wontin noodle soup, and burrata cheese.
