Marriott to Expand in Paris
Marriott International has recently announced the opening of its new property in the capital of France. The globally renowned hotelier will open its first hotel in Paris under AC by Marriott brand. This will be the 166 guestroom AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot. The property will be managed by Marriott according to a franchise agreement with SHEPI SNC.
The new hotel will be the 14th Marriott branded hotel in Paris. This is also going to be the third AC Hotel by Marriott branded property in France. According to Amy McPherson, managing director of Marriott Europe, the company is very interested in French hotel market and plans to open more properties in Paris.
AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will be open in the west of the central part of Paris. The property will be located in Porte Maillot, a famous district of the French capital, and will overlook beautiful Boulevard Périphérique.
AC Hotels by Marriott is a relatively new brand that was founded in January 2011. The hotel brand was formed in accordance with the agreement between Marriott International and Spanish hotel group AC Hotels. Currently more than 90 hotels in Italy, Spain, and Portugal have been rebranded and work under the new brand.
