A group of 5 holiday camps in the United Kingdom named Pontins has been recently acquired by Britannia Hotel Group. Because of this deal the camp company has been prevented from the bankruptcy. The sum of the deal is not exposed to the publics.
Pontins is known for having camp-type resorts in seaside destinations of England. All hotels are made in the form of apartments. The company was quite successful prior to the global economic crisis. In November 2010 the company went into administration, headed by KPMG. Now the company is saved and the new owner plans to continue developing services provided by Pontins. As Britannia representatives state, they see the potential in such type of rest and plan to advertise traditional seaside holidays actively. The company states it’s ready to invest a considerable amount of money into this project.
Britannia is also an England-based hotelier, which occupies the 155th place in the list of the largest hotel companies of the world.
