In the nearest future Hilton Worldwide will add a hotel in Ras Al Khaimah to its portfolio as the company has just signed the management agreement with Al Hamra Real Estate Development.
The 249-key Hamra Fort Hotel is operating since 1999. The hotel is the part of a mixed-use building, which has been operated independently by the owner. However, Al Hamra changed its mind and concluded the agreement with Hilton. The renewed property will start operating under the new flag in the beginning of 2013.
The chairman of Al Hamra Group Sheikh Mohamed Bin Saud Al Qasimi tells they want to bring internationally famous experience to their property and plan to work closely together to turn Hamra Fort Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah into an internationally famous hotspot.
The hotel is located in a popular area that has direct access to commercial and business areas, as well as to high-class golf facilities. Another property managed by Hilton, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, will be opened in the region soon.
Prior to changing the management organization, the property will undergo a renovation. Arabian-fort-style villas will be kept, but numerous facilities and services will be added to the hotel. After renovation Hilton Al Hamra will have several lounge zones with bars, an all-day restaurant, a private beach, a spa center, swimming pools, tennis courts, a club for kids, mini-golf fields, and a health club. Near the hotel will be located a convention center that will offer wide range of services to business travellers.
