In Oviedo, you can get acquainted with the main features of the traditional cuisine of Asturias. Meat, legumes and seasonal vegetables have been the most important components of regional cooking for many years. Like many years ago, we can try original beans dishes at local restaurants. Among the meat delicacies available for tasting in local restaurants, it is worth mentioning "morcilla" blood sausage prepared using lots of interesting spices. Smoked chorizo sausages are also produced here, including its special spicy variety called "Corizo sidra".
