Turku Airport is located to the north of Turku, Finland, 8 km from the city center. It is one of the fifth airports with the biggest passenger traffic in the country. It annually services about 400 thousand passengers. The airport is also used by the State Finavia Airline Company. Turku offers different services, including budget flights by low-costers. The airport was built in the mid-40s of the last century and was the first civil Finnish airport. The infrastructure of the airport includes one passenger terminal, two cargo terminals, and one air-strip. Thanks to its geographical location (it is close to the sea port and has railway connection with neighboring countries; it is also close to international tracks), the airport is convenient for transport operations.
There are highways E-18 and E-63 not far from the airport. Also, the airport has railway connection with Russia and China. You can travel from the airport to the city center by public bus (#1). At the airport, you can use the taxi services (the station is near the terminal), take a transfer, or rent a car.
