Hilton Encourages Its Clients to Travel Instead of Dreaming

News Hotel companies around the world slowly try to return to normal operation. Recently, Hilton has launched its first advertising campaign since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Called “To New Memories”, the global marketing campaign was launched in several countries like China, Germany, and the United Kingdom in September and in October in the United States and Saudi Arabia.

The core idea of the new campaign is to remind people about the most pleasant memories in their lives and refresh the desire to visit people and places that they love. For many people around the world, traveling is one of their most loved activities. A recent survey showed that 89% of respondents call their travel memories among the happiest moments in their lives. Hilton thinks that months of isolation caused a travel deficit in many people around the world. The hotelier also wanted to express optimism and announce that new promotions are coming.

While reminding people how exciting and unforgettable travel is, Hilton tries to encourage them to stop dreaming and start planning a new vacation. It doesn’t matter where tourists want to go, Hilton has hotels in Beijing, New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and many other cities around the world. A new survey commissioned by Hilton shows that 95% of survey respondents miss traveling at the moment, and 90% (nine in ten people) already have signs of travel deficit. Additionally, 91% of respondents say that hotel is an important part of their travel, and more than 25% of respondents even try to stay at the same hotel in order to keep their travel memories.

Tourists from the United States say that they lack traveling (94% of the respondents) and want to travel once there are no more restrictions associated with COVID-19. “To New Memories” targets these feelings and reminds us that traveling is a possibility to reconnect with places, people, family members, and the world in general. The campaign includes a series of cozy video ads, images, and content for social media. Hilton highlights that new memories are waiting and new places are ready to be discovered.

To make sure that hotel guests are safe in the new normal, Hilton has prepared a series of updates that are adopted not only at Hilton hotels in New York, Chicago, or other cities in the US but also in other destinations. These are contactless arrival, CleanStay (disinfection program), EventReady (clean and safe environment for meetings and events), and free hotel room cancelations.
