Jiuzhaigou National Park, China

The ideal place to explore the culture of China is the Jiuzhaigou National Park. Its name can be translated from Chinese as The Valley of the Nine Villages. This reserve is located in the north of Sichuan. It became known to the whole world for its amazing colored lakes and cascading waterfalls. There are several ancient villages in the reserve. The place is a landmark of world importance.

Despite the fact that in recent years the national park was visited by hundreds of thousands of travelers, it is still a great place for a soothing rest. The park has a number of valleys, each of which has its own unique attractions. In the Zhi Tsze valley you can stroll through the primeval forest, see several spectacular lakes, including the famous Five Flowers Lake. The Czechav valley is also famous for its beautiful lakes. You can see fabulous waterfalls in the Shuzheng valley.

Villages situated in the national park are no less attractive for visitors. The local way of life has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. Here, travelers can see how locals form and process cascading paddy fields that resemble real works of landscape art. A hundred years ago, there have been 9 small villages in the reserve.
