St Mary's Cathedral Parish is an amazing religious landmark. Its building's construction was finished 1851, the neo-gothic style popular at that time was chosen as the style. It is worth noting that this is the oldest Catholic cathedral and the main religious attraction of South Africa. Great Synagogue deserves special mention too. The building is also interesting from an architectural point of view, evoking associations such as "lightness", "snow-whiteness", "splendor". Stunning stained-glass windows, facade, interior - all these elements are worthy of separate attention.
The Fugard Theater is interesting not only as a venue for cultural events and theatrical performances but also as an architectural creation. Before visiting the theater, set aside at least a few minutes to enjoy the unparalleled exterior and see the fine details. Get acquainted with the life of the local residents in the period between the 18th and 19th centuries in several houses where it is reflected most accurately. It's worth noting that all museums together form Iziko Museums, a complex including such mansions as Bertram House, Koopmans-De Wet House, and Rust en Vreugd. None of them should be missed since each one has its own distinctive architecture and atmosphere different from the one of any other historic building.
