This is the largest Mexican city, the coast of which is simply fully occupied by white sand beaches, while the central part is covered with greenery. The resort has quickly become popular among scuba diving lovers. Water here is very clean and the reason for this is in unusual cay sand. The resort was opened in 1950. Since that time several dozens of hotels have been built there. Every hotel has a beach on its territory, a chain of restaurants and shops.

Asul Gallery features true glass masterpieces created by local glassblowers. Here you will also find a large collection of vases, lamps and jewelry made in the Mayan style. Balam Gallery is no less popular. It demonstrates a rare type of art – drawing on birds’ feathers. Small frames that we usually use for photos keep feathers that seem ordinary at a glance. However, if you look closer, you will see drawings featuring beautiful landscapes and flowers.
