This is a beautiful building in the neoclassical style, which was built in the 19th century. The house was built for one of large traders of the city, but soon it was bought by Rudolf Hammerschmidt, whose name was used in the name of the mansion. After the end of the Second World War the building became the main residence of the President of Germany. The villa reserves this honorable status till these days.
