To feel real awe while in the White City of the North (as Helsinki is often called), you can visit the Helsingin ortodoksinen hautausmaa cemetery. Here, both majestic monuments and beautiful buildings, including the amazing beauty of the chapel building, will immerse you in an unforgettable atmosphere that gives extraordinary tranquility. The cemetery was built in the beginning of the XIX century. Among the famous people who were buried here, it is worth mentioning Agafon Faberge and Yuri Repin. Another place that will be great for hiking is Länsisatama, where, it seems as though you can watch the sailing and floating ships for eternity.
The busiest place in the hometown of Tove Jansson is Hakaniemi Market; here you can enjoy the color, inherent only in the capital of Finland.
