A monument of war, which is installed on Lunacharsky Street, is made in the memory of the victims who fell during World War II. The eternal flame also recalls the memories of people killed during the war. Every year the historical memorial is attended by hundreds of people from different countries. Speaking of unusual sights, we simply cannot fail to mention the monument devoted to computer keyboard. The monument is an exact copy of the device made in the scale of 30:1. Keys of the unusual sculpture are made of plaster and weight of each of them is about 80 kg. The original monument, the opening of which took place in 2005, has immediately won love of townspeople and visitors who use the 86 keys of the keyboard as benches.
Yekaterinburg is home to many museums, the most famous of which is Museum of History of Architecture and Industrial Machinery of Ural. The museum is located in the territory of the former industrial area. The first factory on the sight was opened yet in 1723. Visitors are welcome to walk through ancient guilds, look into the factory’s office and learn a lot about the industrial past of the city. An excursion to Railway Museum will be no less interesting. Visitors will see several interesting bronze sculptures next to the beautiful old station building. These sculptures are also important exhibits.
