New owners renovated and absolutely reconstructed the castle. At present the castle is an established place of holding of various art exhibitions and other cultural events. Scenic inner court of the castle is a place of holding the Easter Festival. Not far from the city travelers will find an ancient village named Halki. A few centuries ago the village was a great merchant center of the island.
At present the entire territory of the ancient settlement is taken by a distillery named Vallindras which is of great interest among travelers. This is a place of birth of renowned sorts of wine produced by following the ancient technologies.
