The main landmark of the Marpissa village is the Nikos Perantinos Museum which is dedicated to the creative work of the world renowned artist. The visitors of the museum will find out many interesting facts about the life and creative work of the maestro as well as enjoy the masterpieces of statuary art. In close vicinity to the Marathi village tourists will discover ancient stone mines being the exact place of Paros marble mining a few centuries ago. This marble was considered the most valuable industrial mineral and was used in decoration and finishing of ancient palaces and temples.
