The true cultural landmark of the city is the Singleton Park. In spring and summer its territory hosts a wide variety of cultural events, including concerts of classical music, performances of folklore ensembles, opera and theater performances.
The rather unusual attraction that also deserves attention is a monument to the Labrador named Jack. The dog became famous for its deeds; every local can tell a story about them. The dog lived for seven years and in that time has managed to rescue 27 people who couldn’t cope with raging sea elements.
