IHG announced one more addition to its European portfolio. The internationally famous hotelier signed the agreement regarding the opening of Holiday Inn Gdansk City Centre. The hotel will strengthen position of the hotelier in the Polish market. The hotel, which will be operated by IHG in accordance with a management agreement with UBM Development AG, will greet its first guests in 2019.
Currently, IHG already operates six hotels in Poland and has six more properties in the pipeline. The company has aggressive expansion policy. Only during first half of this year IHG managed to sign management agreements for 24 hotels with the total of over four thousand guestrooms.
The Polish city of Gdansk is a popular tourist destination. In the past, it was a rich merchant city, so wealthy people helped to shape its look. Holiday Inn Gdansk City Centre is located in the heart of the city near the Gdansk Marina. The 236-guestroom hotel is approximately 25 minutes away by car from Gdansk Lech Walesa International Airport, while the main train station is within walking distance. That makes the hotel a great choice for both leisure and business visitors. The hotel will feature all modern facilities like gym, fitness center, parking spaces and meeting/conference space. Holiday Inn Gdansk City Center will have the new Open Lobby system and will offer free Wi-Fi for all guests.
