Hyatt Hotels Corp. will jump into soft brand segment with The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The new brand will include both new and already operating properties in upscale and luxury segments. Guests of The Unbound Collection hotels are welcome to enjoy all benefits of Hyatt loyalty program as well as its marketing resources. The first hotels that will join the new brand were already announced. These are the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris (France); The Driskill Hotel in Austin (Texas); the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo (Uruguay); and the Coco Palms Resort in Kauai (Hawaii). Hyatt will accept properties managed by the hotelier, as well as privately owned and operated hotels in its Unbound Collection. The four announced hotels belong to different ownership categories as, for example, The Driskill is both owned and operated by Hyatt, while Hotel du Louvre in Paris is an independent property managed by its owner.
The hotelier explains the launch of the new brand as an attempt to offer flexibility for hotel owners while letting them use operational strength of such big and famous brand as Hyatt. They will have personalized approach to every property as Unbound Collection will include mostly exceptional hotels properties located in historic sights, boutique hotels and resorts that are already famous and recognized for their own style.
