Hotels on the Cote D’Azur and regional France posted strong growth during the month of September. The growth was reached in all main metrics, such as occupancy and average daily rates, despite not so optimist results of hotels in Paris that stagnated in September.
Ile-de-France hotels posted falling RevPAR in September 2015. This was noticeable in all major destinations of the region. The outcome continues the August falling performance across all categories of hotels. The drop in occupancy caused even bigger fall of the average daily rate. Hotels in the upscale category suffered the most. The drop of the average daily rate in Parisian hotels estimated 5.4%. However, the significant raise of the average daily rate in the beginning of the year helps to buoy up RevPAR when analyzed on the year-by-year basis.
Hotels in regional France, in their turn, posted very promising results. If compared to September 2014, RevPAR in September 2015 is significantly higher. Same applies to the Cote d’Azur. In September, the growth of RevPAR estimated 3% to more than 14% in total, depending on category. Upscale hotels in regional France managed to increase their occupancy by 5.1% in September. Therefore, the total increase since the start of the year estimates 6%. Only Northern coastline of France posted weaker results for the month.
