The Hotel Ritter Durbach is finally open after renovation and expansion. That is one of oldest hotels in the country as it was founded in 1656. Now guests are welcome to attend this hotel in Black Forest in Southern Germany.
Traditionally, the hotel belonged to the Brunner family that owned it for more than 100 years. The house was bought by the Ritter family in 2007. Sixteen months ago an extensive renovation was started in the hotel. The design project was developed by JOI-Design that tried to maintain the historical aura of the building, but make it convenient for modern travellers. During the renovation, the hotel was also expanded and 40 new guestrooms were added. In updated guestrooms guests will find raspberry-toned niches, apple green curtains, and leather headboards decorated with the logo of Hotel Ritter Durbach.
The updated hotel also got new spa centre that is two times more than the old one. The new spa offers some brand new treatments. For example, guests can attend a “herb chamber”, where they will inhale various vapors. The chamber is vineyard inspired and is mostly made in honey and lavender shades. There are also several new treatment rooms as well as new relaxation areas. Nearby, guests will find a new tea lounge and a new library.
These are not all facilities present in this historic hotel. Here guests will also find a spacious atrium with a cozy fireplace and comfortable leather armchairs. Finally, when guests of the hotel want to enjoy finest cuisine, they are always welcome in the Michelin-starred Wilder Ritter restaurant. Business and meeting facilities in Hotel Ritter Durbach are represented by several meeting rooms and spacious event space.
