The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the opening of Radisson Blu Golden Horn Hotel in Istanbul. The 133-key accommodation is set to open in the beginning of 2013.
Rezidor will act as a managing company as the owner of the hotel is Dilek Holding. This is not the first collaboration between the two companies as the Turkish holding company owns another hotel in Istanbul – Radisson Blu Sisli. The announcement of the new property in this city makes Radisson Blu the largest hotel brand in Istanbul in the upper class segment. Currently Rezidor has 5 properties in this city operating or yet under construction.
The president and CEO of Rezidor Kurt Ritter mentions the hotelier will seek other opportunities for expanding the portfolio of the hotelier in Turkey and is interested in both leisure and business accommodations.
The new property by Rezidor will have an advantageous location. Radisson Blu Golden Horn Hotel will be located in Pera neighborhood famous for its trendy and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The windows of the hotel will feature magnificent looks of the Golden Horn – a part of the Bosphorus River that divides Istanbul. The oldest luxurious hotel of Istanbul Pera Palace Hotel is also located nearby. Years ago this hotel accommodated passengers of the legendary Orient Express train.
On the territory of the hotel will be located a restaurant, a Spa and wellness centers, an indoor pool, and 800 sq. m. of meeting space. On the roof of the hotel will be organized a bar and a restaurant.
