Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group (CRHG) will soon add two new brands to its portfolio. The new brands are called Radisson Red and Quorvus Collection. The first brand is described as “lifestyle select”, while the second one will join luxury line of the hotelier. Carlson plans to open as many as 60 Radisson Red and 20 Quorvus Collection hotels by 2020.
In order to develop Radisson Red, the company spent US$15 million and additional US$50 million were spent to start developing first Radisson Red hotels in the US. Currently, the company is in the process of identifying best sites for hotels, and plans to open first two Radisson Red hotels in the US by 2015. No development costs are available at the moment. It is only known that an average Radisson Red hotel will have approximately 150 guestrooms and its construction will take approximately 15 months.
Radisson Red brand will focus on design and attention to details. The hotel prototype has a mirrored façade, limited F&B service, and wide use of modern technologies. Guests will be allowed not only to check-in using mobile devices, but also to order food, pay for drinks in the bar, pay for taxi or flowers, and make other payments. Visitors will also be able to set their preferences and manage their guestroom.
The first hotel under the Quorvus Collection brand will be announced later this year. Carlson plans to add two-three Quorvus hotels every year. These will be 5-star hotels with outstanding services. The core idea of the brand is based on six elements wellness, style, replenishment, connectivity and entertainment. The brand will deliver modern luxury to the most discerning customers.
