Melia Hotels International opened its first hotel in Vienna, Austria. The hotel is located in the new landmark of the city beautiful skyscraper called the Dohau City Tower.
The new hotel, which is also the first hotel managed by Melia in Austria, has 253 guestrooms. The project was developed by Parisian architect Dominique Perrault. The new DC Tower is also the tallest skyscraper in Austria. The building has a truly impressive look as it rises 250m over the New Danube River. Inside the hotel guests will find rather a minimalistic and structured design with a geometric waterfall. The building’s façade faces the city, so guests will surely enjoy the look. The hotel meets highest standards of sustainability and is marked “green” by the European Commission. The building has 58 floors, 17 of which are occupied by Melia Vienna.
Dining facilities in the restaurant are represented by “57 Restaurant & Lounge” that serves international cuisine and offers a 360 degree panorama of Vienna. “The Flow” restaurant is located in the lobby. In addition to regular guestrooms the hotel has a posh Presidential Suite that can be accessed through a private lift. The suite is over 200 sq. m, and its windows feature a beautiful 180-degree view of Vienna. Other rooms also have large floor-to-ceiling windows with elements that can be opened. Guestrooms are equipped with DreaMax mattresses, large LED IP TVs, Nespresso coffee machines, safes, free Wi-Fi, rain showers and air conditioning. Function space includes approximately 1,080 sq. m. of meeting space, eight meeting rooms and a grand ballroom.
