First Indigo Hotel in Italy
IHG (InterContinental Group) has announced the opening of its first Hotel Indigo in Italy. One of the largest hotel companies in the world will open an accommodation under this brand in the city of Rome.
Hotel Indigo Rome-St. George will be located in the central part of Rome. The boutique hotel will have 64 guestrooms and will be opened under a franchise agreement with Italian company Hotel Invest Italiana SRL. The hotel will start operating already in the beginning of 2014. This is when the conversion of St George hotel in Rome will be completed, and it will start operating as Hotel Indigo. IHG spokesman has already expressed the company’s delight with the deal and with the opportunity to bring the boutique hotel brand of the company to Italy.
First Hotel Indigo appeared in 2004, and it took only three years to make the brand popular. Currently, this is the fastest growing hotel brand in the portfolio of IHG. First Hotel Indigo hotel in Europe appeared in 2009; currently the brand is present by 10 hotels in the region, and additional 13 are on the way, and are to open from 3 to 5 years. The secret of Indigo hotels is in unique design and individual features that vary from hotel to hotel. However, there is one thing that remains the same – high quality.
