Minor Hotel Group has announced that it will open a hotel in Dubai under its Anantara brand. This will be the first Anantara hotel in the emirate. The hotel will be located on the Palm Jumeirah, and it is expected to open already this year.
The 293-guestroom Anantara Dubai Palm Jumeirah Resort & Spa, which is to open in September, is the result of collaboration between Minor International (Bangkok) and Seven Tides (Dubai). When signing the agreement, William Heinecke, CEO of Minor International, told they were very excited about entering Dubai and even called this a serious milestone in the development of the Anantara brand.
There are also some details about the new hotel. 130 out of 293 guestrooms will have direct access to large lagoon pools (11,000 sq. m.). The territory of the hotel will include six restaurants and bars devoted to different themes. These will be a large all-day dining restaurant with both Middle Eastern and international cuisine, a grill restaurant serving mostly Australian cuisine, a specialty restaurant with Asian themed food, a restaurant at the beachfront featuring Mediterranean cuisine, a poolside bar with various refreshments, and, finally, a lobby lounge.
Anantara already has three hotels in Abu Dhabi. These are Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa in Abu Dhabi City, and Desert Islands Resort & Spa on Sir Bani Yas Island.
