Wyndham Hotel Group has made an announcement concerning the opening of a new hotel in Istanbul. The 306-room accommodation will be named Wyndham Petek Istanbul and is scheduled for opening in autumn 2012.
This will be a five-star hotel with convenient location just 7 kilometers away from Istanbul Ataturk International Airport. The hotel will be opened as a part of a mixed-use development with the total square exceeding 11,000 sq. m. Besides the hotel the complex will have retail and business space, as well as a huge indoor parking lot for 1,000 automobiles. The hotel standalone will create 200 new jobs. The designers of this complex are Pyramid Architect Group and Metex Design Group. The hotel will be operated by Kilicbey Turizm.
On the territory of the hotel will be also located a fitness center equipped with 4 treatment rooms, a spa center, and a huge 130 sq. m. large indoor pool. Business facilities will be represented by over 3,000 sq. m. of conference and event space, 13 meeting rooms, and a grand ballroom.
The hotel’s rooms include 24 luxurious suites and 40 extended apartments. All rooms of the hotel come with 24-hour service. Among other services offered is a free transfer to airport and from it. On the territory of the hotel will be also located an all-day dining restaurant and a bar.
Istanbul is one of key Turkish cities, so not only leisure tourists, but also business ones arrive here. This hotel is also particularly important for the company, because it’s going to be the first Windham hotel in Turkey. The hotelier expands its presence in this country, where it already has several Ramada hotels.
