New Radisson Blu Hotels in Germany
The Rezidor Hotel Group is to expand its Radisson Blu portfolio by opening new properties in Germany. These will be hotels in Bremen and Dortmund. Both the hotels are not newly built and are already operating properties. The Radisson Blu Hotel Dortmund features 190 guestrooms and will be rebranded in January 2013. The second property, the Radisson Blu Hotel Bremen, will have 235 guestrooms, and will be rebranded in June 2013. It is also reported that both the hotels will pass through a soft renovation within 18 months.
The hotels will be opened together with Pandox, a long-term partner of Rezidor. The company is the owner of these hotels. Rezidor’s President has already expressed his delight with the deal, and has underlined the importance of the German market for the company. Currently, the portfolio of Rezidor in Germany includes 53 hotels, both operating and under development.
The first hotel, The Radisson Blu Hotel Dortmund, is located in peripheral area of Dortmund. Even though the distance from the downtown is 3km, and 10km from the airport, the hotel has a convenient motorway access. Near the hotel are located Westfalenhalle exhibition centre, and the Westfalen soccer stadium. The hotel will have 190 guestrooms and 5 suites, all of which will be equipped with the signature Radisson Blu services. The second hotel, The Radisson Blu Hotel Bremen, will be located in the heart of the historic part of the city, on Böttcherstraße. The hotel will have 235 guestrooms (including 15 suites), 2 restaurants, 14 meeting rooms, a bar, a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, a spa, and more.
