IHG has announced its first contact concerning eight Hualuxe hotels. This brand is developed specially for China and is targeted at meeting all needs of travellers from this country. IHG will open Hualuxe hotels in Shanghai and Beijing, and 6 more important business cities and popular leisure destinations across the country.
When these hotels start operating, they will add approximately 2,800 guestrooms to the portfolio of IHG. This is a really powerful start for the brand that was launched less than five months ago. As the company mentions, first they plan to cover all most important cities in China. IHG calls Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities in China as its possible targets. All in all, IHG wants to have as many as 100 Hualuxe hotels in China within next 15-20 years.
First 8 hotels are expected to open between 2014 and 2016. These will be 380-guestroom Hualuxe Beijing Xinan, 300-guestroom Hualuxe Ordos Dongsheng, 350-guestroom Hualuxe Chengdu High-Tech West, 350-guestroom Hualuxe Foshan Nanhai, 330-guestroom Hualuxe Fuzhou Downtown, 400-guestroom Hualuxe Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao, 282-guestroom Hualuxe Yangjiang City Centre, and 380-guestroom Hualuxe Zhangjiajie Resort.
