Soon short stays in Mumbai will be more comfortable as a new hotel will operate on the territory of its airport. TAJ GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd has announced the opening of a hotel in Mumbai International Airport. The new 257 guestroom accommodation will be branded as Taj and may greet its first guests in the middle of 2014.
The sum of the total investment estimates Rs 110.25 crore. The company has announced that it already has all necessary permissions. The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company has also approved this project. The hotel will be constructed and operated with the help of a specially created organization – Green Woods Palaces and Resorts Private Limited. The hotel may be a perfect choice and a wonderful pastime for people who make a transit stay in Mumbai or who have their flights delayed.
This is not the first project by TAJGVK as the company already operates 4 four-star hotels in Hyderabad, one five-star hotel in Chandigarh, and one five-star hotel in Chennai. In the nearest future the company also plans to open a budget hotel in Hyderabad airport.
