Marriott Opens a Hotel in Bahrain

Marriott has announced the opening of JW Marriott hotel in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain. The famous luxury hotelier will operate this property under the agreement with its owner - Khaleejcapita B.S.C. The hotel is set to open in 2016. The new accommodation will have as much as 274 guestrooms and 102 additional residences. The hotel will have an advantageous location near the diplomatic quarter in Bahrain Bay.

Bahrain Bay is a large development project, the total cost of which estimates $2.5 billion. The hotel will be located in a 50-story building. The designer of the complex is the famous Yousif Daoud Al Sayegh architect, who is well-known for his works in Abu Dhabi planning and building of Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay in Oman.

Marriott currently has many projects in Bahrain and Qatar in pipeline and seeks for new opportunities for its luxury accommodations. There is a lack of 5-star hotels in Bahrain, so the company hopes to open more hotels in this prime location. Dining market is another sphere of interest, so Marriott will open 5 top quality restaurants in this new development project. On the territory of the hotel will be also located a spa center, a sports center and various attractions. The executive lounge of the new hotel will feature magnificent views of the ocean. Four lounges, a cozy bar, a bar at the poolside, and a bar on the rooftop will provide visitors with unique and relaxing atmosphere. Finally, business facilities will include 17,119 sq. ft. of meeting rooms.
