Amsterdam hotels may become a moving force to all other European destinations as the hotels in this region show improved results within last months. This concerns both revenue and occupancy figures.
In March TRevPAR figure increased to 6% and reached here €179.64. Another important rate, gross operating profit per available room (GOPPAR), showed a growth of 11.4% and estimated €64.21.
Hotels in Amsterdam show a steady growth during last 12 months. Accommodations in this region experience not only growth in leisure tourist demand, but also improvement in business sector, so at the moment this region reaches its pre-recession levels in GOPPAR.
The same positive trend is found in other cities of Europe as well. According to the data provided by TRI Hospitality, 9 of 10 cities participated in the survey showed increase in GOPPAR levels.
For example, hotels in Vienna showed a tremendous TRevPAR and GOPPAR performances with the increase of 28.4% and 80.7%. Hotels in Prague feature the increase of TRevPAR of 5.8% and of 11.6% in GOPPAR.
The growth of RevPAR in other European cities like London, Barcelona, Hamburg, Brussels, and Paris is not so big.
