A couple of days ago Hilton Hotels & Resorts opened its fourth hotel in India. The 204-key Hilton hotel in Chennai is the first accommodation by the famous hotelier in the city.
This year Hilton plans to open 6 accommodations in India. Chennai is chosen not randomly as this is the fourth largest city in the country. Other properties operated by Hilton in one of the world’s fastest growing markets are Hilton Mumbai International Airport, Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi Saket and Hilton New Delhi Janakpuri.
The new accommodation is located in the Guindy area. Apart from some really famous attractions, such as Marina Beach, Guindy National Park, Kapaleeswarar and Mylapore, this place is known as a large technological park like Tamarai or Olympia. Hilton hopes to attract either leisure or business travellers to this accommodation.
Decorated in old contemporary style, Hilton Chennai is a 10-story building the main distinct feature of which is a Grand Ballroom with high ceiling and sky-fold partitions. Dining options include a lobby café named Est, Vasco’s serving food made in live kitchens, Ayla famous for its local cuisine, Vintage Bank with its widest choice of wines and cheese, and Q Bar – a roof bar near the pool that features grill and panoramic views of the city.
