MGM Resorts international has revealed its plans concerning the opening of its first hotel in India. The first property will become the 480-key hotel in New Delhi, which is scheduled for opening in 2014. The hotel will be managed by the company’s division MGM Hospitality. The owner of the hotel is a local company named Silver Resort Hotel India Private Ltd, which is also a subsidiary of Blue Coast Hotels. Probably, the most famous property of this developer is the 251-key Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa.
This hotel will be just the first property in this country. In future MGM plans to open a chain of hotels together with Skylofts New Delhi. As Gamal Aziz, the CEO and president of MGM Hospitality, states, the company is happy to enter highly-developing hotel market of India. The MGM brand has already won popularity and recognition in many countries of the world and so the company plans to repeat its success on the new market.
