Narita International Airport (also known as Tokyo Narita Airport) is a main airport that services the Greater Tokyo Area of Japan. It is located in the territory of Chiba Prefecture near the city of Narita (its name is also the name of the airport). The airport is 60 km from Tokyo. Originally, it was named “New Tokyo International Airport”. The building and opening of the airport were complicated by the group of people who opposed the airport construction. The airport was finished in 1978.

At the airport, there are two air-strips, one of which is the longest in Japan. Narita Airport annually services about 41 million people. The airport is connected with Tokyo by the Skyliner express railway. There are stations T1 and T2-3.
