Florence-Peretola Airport (also known as Amerigo Vespucci Airport) is an international airport in one of the Italian regions, in the capital of Tuscan, Florence. Florence-Peretola is 3 km from the city. The airport is the second in passenger traffic in the region. It was built in the late 30s of the last century and opened in the early 40s. Then, the airport was repeatedly modernized and rebuilt. Air-strips were prolonged. In 1990, the airport was named after the historical figure living in Tuscan, merchant and cartographer Amerigo Vespucci. At Florence Airport, there is only one air-strip. With it, the airport services about 3 million passengers. Besides commercial flights, it also services police general aviation.

From the airport, you can travel to the center of Florence and other districts by any public transport: express tram, taxi, limo. You can also rent a car. Most of the car rental points of these companies are open from 8 am to 11 pm. At the weekend, they are open up to 9 pm. The rental cost includes airport fees and local taxes. Insurance in the event of car theft or a car accident is included in the rental cost too.

There are two parking lots near the passenger terminal: P1 (short-term) and P2 (long-term). Lots are open 24 hours a day. Parking in P1 and P2 is free if it does not exceed 10 and 15 minutes respectively.
