Mannheim has a large number of museums worth visiting. Since the outstanding German poet Friedrich Schiller lived in the city, today the house where he lived is "Museum Schillerhaus" with the most accurately preserved furnishings.
The tallest building in the Federal state of Baden-Württemberg is Fernmeldeturm tower, which was built in 1975 and reaches a height of almost 218 meters.
