Traditionally, the UAE National Day is celebrated for two days. Local Arabs, and numerous migrants, Europeans, Americans, and Asians living in the city because of work or study, celebrate it with great enthusiasm. The diverse national composition of the UAE and the inhabitants of Ras al-Khaimah can be assessed thanks to the traditional national flags. It is customary to decorate with them homes and apartments in the city. Don't be surprised if you don't recognize half of them.
The most common colors on UAE National Day are white, black, red and green. These colors present on the flag of the country. Many events are dedicated to deciphering the colors on this day. White symbolizes the future of the country. Black is a symbol of the rich past. The red color symbolizes the struggle for freedom. The green color at the same time represents the life and national religion of citizens. These colors can be seen both on the clothes and on the faces of people living in Ras al-Khaimah on the days of celebration. A balloon with a photo of the incumbent Sheikh is traditionally launched in the city. It is worth noting that it is not as big as the one that is launched in the capital.
