News Marriott International has added a new European property to its hotel portfolio. This time, it’s a hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland. Operating under the Residence Inn brand, the hotel marks the debut of the internationally famous hotelier in the extended-stay segment of the famous Scottish city. With its prime location and a well-developed infrastructure, the hotel is hopefully to become a success.

Residence Inn Aberdeen is located in Marischal Square right in the heart of the city. The new hotel has 126 studios and one-bedroom suites perfect for travelers who want to stay longer in Aberdeen or crave for extra comfort while away from home. Both the studios and suites have fully equipped kitchens with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and hob. There are also comfortable sleep and work areas.

Thanks to the upscale design, the accommodations look sophisticated and up-to-date. Residence Inn hotel in Aberdeen also offers a well-developed infrastructure for its guests. The amenities available are the lobby area that works 24/7, Wi-Fi access, restaurant, a free self-service laundry, and buffet breakfast. The hotel offers a range of services for its guests, including shopping delivery service, Grab’n Go market on the ground floor, and a modern fitness center that is always open for clients. Moreover, Residence Inn partners with Under Armour Connected Fitness, and together the companies offer custom running routes in Aberdeen available via MapMyFitness. It’s a great way to stay in fit and explore the city at the same time.

It’s a place where guests of the hotel can meet each other in a casual atmosphere and spend an evening drinking and eating canap├ęs in the reception area. Marriott hopes that their extended stay concept will become successful in the Scottish city. It’s particularly appealing to business travelers. According to the hotelier, more than a third of their business clients choose to stay at extended stay hotels. More than 34% of these bookings are made in Europe.

The newly opened Residence Inn Aberdeen joins the rapidly growing portfolio of Marriott International. Earlier this year, the hotelier opened one more extended stay property in the UK – Residence Inn London Bridge. The 308-suite hotel will offer simple access to such iconic places as The Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre, the Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall, The Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Museum of Science.
