Carlson Rezidor Group announced new environment-friendly initiatives for its Radisson Blu brand. From now, all meeting facilities in hotels by this brand will be carbon-free. Radisson Blu is offsetting the ecological footprint by supporting water projects in several countries including India, Guatemala and Malawi.
In accordance with the Blu Planet for Meetings, Radisson Blu plans to become carbon-free, and this concerns all properties by the brand globally. This may happen already by the end of this year. The hotel brand also supports the goals set by U.N. Sustainable Development. In order to minimize carbon emission, Carlson Rezidor launched a partnership with First Climate, a Frankfurt company that specializes in reducing carbon levels around the world. Nowadays, many companies try to fight the change of climate and become more environment-friendly by reducing the carbon footprint. This is important in all spheres of work, and meetings are no exception, as it was mentioned by the Carlson Rezidor spokesman. Together with First Climate, Radisson Blu will work over its amenities and participate in a series of water projects in such countries as India, Malawi, and Guatemala. These water projects will provide safe drinking water for local communities in the abovementioned countries.
