These days, China-based hotel companies expand not only on domestic market or Asia Pacific, but also in such popular destinations as Europe. Guangzhou-headquartered company Plateno Group even decided to launch PAI Hotels, a special hotel brand for Europe. European hoteliers are encouraged to join PAI Hotels, and Plateno offers some perks for them.
The Chinese hotelier promises cheaper conversion rates compared to other famous hotel companies, modern and functional rooms, and access to the hotelier’s distribution platform. Moreover, PAI branded hotels will be more attractive to Chinese tourists due to explosion to a large network of travel agents and Plateno’s own loyalty membership program with more than 80 million participants.
PAI Hotels is not the first brand launched for Europe by Plateno. The Chinese hotelier already has two hotels in Salzburg and Linz (Austria) operating under the 7 Days Premium brand. The management of Pateno underlines that it’s much easier for independent hotels to join PAI as most of famous international hotel brands have strict requirements regarding size, location and other features of hotels. This will be also the best choice for hotels that want to attract more visitors from China. Chinese outbound travel keeps growing and Europe remains one of preferred destinations for Chinese tourists. Yet almost 60% of European hotels are still independent. Hoteliers, who do not want to rebrand, but still want to attract more Chinese travelers, can join Plateno Connect service that promotes foreign hotels on Chinese market, the largest outbound travel market in the world.
The Plateno Group is one of biggest hoteliers in the world with 3,700 hotels in 300 destinations across Asia Pacific.
